Isaac Lopez moved that the new school presently being built in Oak Forest be named North Oaks Elementary. John Reynolds seconded the motion which was unanimously approved by the board.
North Oaks Elementary School would later be renamed Kathy Caraway Elementary School in memory of the school’s first principal.
