This site uses “Black,” and “African American” interchangeably.  Historic terminology such as “Negro,” “Colored,” or “Mexican” appear on this site to document the history of Round Rock ISD.

These terms were used to both reference the formal and informal names of our segregated schools as well as the racial and cultural backgrounds of our students, staff and community. These words appear in Board of Trustees meeting Minutes from 1913 through the early 1970s. And as such, will appear on our website. We reference these terms in quotes.
