Original school, 1913

The original Round Rock school. The photo was taken on April 18, 1914, while under construction; the school was constructed with red brick and later became the elementary school. A new high school was built adjacent; the school had 12 classrooms, an office, an auditorium, restrooms and was three stories tall. Photo courtesy of Williamson Museum.

School photo of the Stony Point School, 1929. Stony Point was a county school located near the current Teravista Golf Club. The school was consolidated into Round Rock ISD in 1941.

1936 Round Rock HS Football team

The 1936 Round Rock High School football team was the first in school history to go undefeated. They finished with a 9-0 record. O.F. Perry was the principal and coach of the team.

1941 Dragon football team

The Round Rock Dragon football team went 9-1-1 to claim the bi-district championship in 1941. The team was coached by Superintendent O.F. Perry. Three members of the team met each other on the beaches of Okinawa on April 1, 1945.

1957 Neysa Callison. Callison was elected 1957 and was the first female Trustee. She served as Board Secretary each year until she resigned in 1963.Callison Elementary School, opened in 2008, is named in her honor.

1966 Joe Lee Johnson

Circa 1966 Joe Lee Johnson. Johnson was the principal of the segregated Hopewell School and was a math teacher at Round Rock High School after desegregation. Joe Lee Johnson STEAM Academy opened in 2016.

1968 Robert P. Hernandez

Robert P. Hernandez graduated from Round Rock HS in 1967. He joined the Marines in early 1968 and was sent to Viet Nam in June 1968. He died during the Battle of Khe Sanh in July 1968. Robert P. Hernandez Middle School is named in his honor.

1982 C.D. Fulkes Lizard mascot. Originally named Round Rock Middle School, the school was renamed in 1980 for longtime Round Rock HS principal, CD Fulkes.
